How is bone collection (kotsuage) performed at Daini Crematorium?
At Nagoya City Daini Crematorium, partial bone collection is carried out as a standard,
unless otherwise requested.
The remains are collected into the urn, part by part, starting from the feet and moving toward the head.
If you wish to perform complete bone collection, where all of the bones are placed in the urn, or any method other than partial collection, please consult with us in advance.

Are the crematoria in Nagoya divided by residential area?
The municipal crematoria that can be used in Nagoya City are not restricted by your residential area.
Regardless of where you live within Nagoya City, you may use either crematorium.
However, from April 2025 (Reiwa 7) through May 2030 (Reiwa 10), human cremation services at Yagoto Crematorium (Tempaku Ward) will be suspended due to redevelopment.
During this period, for human cremation, the only municipal crematorium available in Nagoya City will be Daini Crematorium.
For guidance on how to choose a crematorium and the locations of each facility, please refer to the leaflet below.
